2023 Legasse Highlites

Nice weather all weekend long provided a perfect backdrop to an action packed schedule. With so many great matchups leading up to the Sunday showdowns the championship games added further excitement to an already fantastic weekend of play.
In the U11 championship matchup the Regina White Sox captured the title with an exciting extra-inning thriller over the Regina Expos. The Expos had battled back from a 4 run deficit in the top of the 6th to force extra innings. The White Sox had moved on to the final with a walk-off game ending hit against the White Butte Broncos.
In U13 play the Saskatoon Cardinals took over a tight 0-0 game in the 5th inning and went onto a 7-2 win over the Regina Expos.
The U15 matchup saw another thriller as the East Central Dodgers squeezed out a 9-8 win over the undefeated Brandon Marlins with a bases-loaded line drive to bring in the tie-breaking run in the bottom of the 7th.
